Steemit Tutorial - Add Awesome Flair To Your Photos With Selective Color Photographs
In this tutorial I'll show you how to make a cool selective color effect to your photographs. This effect can be an interesting way to add a dramatic effect to your pictures. In the example I took a stock image from Pixabay that's awash in color and rendered it black and white, then used a free Photoshop action to make colorizing only the parts of the pic that I wanted to remain emphasized.
The action is freely downloadable from The Coffee Shop Blog and works like a charm. You'll also need Adobe Photoshop to do this effect.

Open your image in Photoshop
Click Window - Actions
The Actions Panel Loads
Click The Menu Box - Upper Right Side of the Actions Window - Choose Load Actions - Navigate to Where You Saved Your Action To (CoffeeShopSelectiveColor.atn) Double Click
Click The Arrow Next to Selective Color - Click Selective Color
Click The Play Button Below
Read the Popup - Click Continue
Click OK When The Levels Dialogue Box Pops Up - Or Adjust if you want to.
Click OK When The Name Layer Dialogue Box Pops Up - Or change the name if you want to.
Use Your Brush to Highlight What You Want Colorized. It's Pretty Easy!
Click File - Save As, or File Export As
