Lost In A Glimpse (Episode 4)

Doctor Stephanie was not happy with the outcome of things lately. Her uneasiness was becoming clearly visible. She lacked concentration at work, she spent her leisure time thinking and worst of it all was that she lacked slip.
"I need to unwind", she concluded. She decided she needed to clear her head, to go someplace where she can forget her troubles.
At about 7:00pm, Doctor Stephanie was driving slowly along the street, her eyes scanning the area for a suitable spot. She needed a place where she would be shielded from the reality of the moment. A place where she would be in charge of her person for a while.
Twenty minutes later she made her way into a bar. Alighting from her car, all she could see was contrast; The place beamed with life unlike the relative silence in her neighborhood. Lights of varying colours flickered as music was played in high frequency. She enjoyed the life in this place. Making herself comfortable, she sat as she admired the energy that emanated from the area.
"What may I get you madam?", a waiter called her attention.
" Emm...Chapman will be nice. And please I'll love it with more liquor than usual "
"Ok madam"
Fifteen minutes later, she had consumed three servings of Chapman. She looked around the bar, her sight getting dimmer with every sip. A blurry figure was before her as she struggled to ascertain who it was. As her sight became clearer, she could see he was extending his hand.
"Hi, I'm Luke", the young said, smiling.
" Hi ",her tired voice replied.
" I've been watching you sitting alone for a while and I decided to join you. I hope you don't mind".
Stephanie shrugged as took a sip once again. "It's OK"
They kept talking that night and in no time, it felt as if they had known each other for a while.
At about 11:17pm, they decided it was time to leave. They exchanged phone numbers as they made for their respective homes. She left the bar energised, smiling as she drove gently back home. She had gotten some relief from the incessant turmoil within her, she felt alive once again and she had met someone who seemed to in tandem with her. "This is good enough for me ", she thought..... At least for a start.
