Tea With Mr Sexy

Pastel#6 Inspired by attempting to apply what I learned from dating on the Sims to real life; with disastrous results.

I was excited by my current style of drawing faces at the time; influenced by Mongliani, Picasso, Francis Bacon, the Simpsons and the Sims. I would use the exaggerated shape of the faces to express the relationships between the subjects; to attack and caress. In this case the odd faces fit together like puzzle pieces; but she is blocking fate by lifting her cup of tea.

I found out quickly that pastels do not work so well on a smaller scale and I put them away for years. I only just got them out today to work on again. I took more pictures as I worked, but they did not come out so well, so I cannot really give a good "work in progress" experience; but here is how I began.

Not a bad image; but a bit empty. It needs more zazz.

The blue sky does not cut it; this piece needs some drama, and some odd shapes that feel like they are out somewhere.

I love how simple dating is in the Sims. You can get any guy you like if you work it hard enough; and if you are not interested he will still be your friend.
