Avocado Festival In the LA Arts District

Last weekend we caught the tail end of the Avocado festival at Angel City Brewery in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. (Lost Angeles has more than one hopping arts district) There were not many bands or vendors left, but there was still beer and plenty of art and people. I tried the avocado ale again. I genuinely love their beer, however this variety was not as good as the last time I had it; A bit flatter and with a slightly bitter taste to it.
Black Light King finished the live painting of his piece before I got there; but I talked to him briefly and got his instagram.
I am always blown away by the street art in the arts district. Below is an optical illusion.
Other art is not so refined; but full of emotion.
We went into a building that housed a paint store and came across this strange little sitting area.
So of course we had a mock-interview.
The arts district is such a lively; unique scene. I love this barcade with trees in the courtyard.

My brother was too hungy to enjoy it properly so we went for beer and sausages. (3 dollar PBR's, not a bad deal)
We did enjoy the art on the way back to the car.
That is the very beautiful place. I need to place it on my bucket listing. And how can you pass incorrect with kitties? haha properly besides for the scratching part. I sense like there are too many items on my bucket listing and so little time!
Pass incorrect with kitties? You mean travel? There are websites now that help you find well rated pet sitters.
I love that street art - such a creative place!
I'm intolerant to avocado, so I will be avoiding this festival (and the large avocado behind the bar).
Hahaha, the arts district is fun though. LA has so many arty areas and great openings. I need to make a post about it.
I should really explore LA more.. we live down in Pedro but only ever go to the beach cities/Redondo/Hermosa etc.
There is so much cool stuff to see here in Los Angeles. Thx for reminding me!
You see I have rarely been down there;once to Redondo and once to Long Beach. Which southern beaches do you think are the coolest?
