About the 'struggle' you described, I've had bombs dropped on me too. So far from; Eddie Van Halen, Nissan & BMW. And these were for original art "derivative" works, in no way exact copies of any of their copyrights.
Don't know if it's corporate greed or whether they are just not selling much due to public backlash...similar to backlash against colluding main-stream media.
