Pollock e La Scuola di New York Exhibition in Rome
The Pollock tribute, although limited (I think there were just 2-3 Pollock paintings) , takes place in Il Vittoriano in the centre of Rome along with the Andy Warhol exhibition..
If you visit these two exhibitions, you will understand the amazing effect of these artists and the way each created a school of their own.
Jackson Pollock was a member of the Expressionists and was widely known for his dripping technique:
Luckily he was acknowledged while he was alive, in contrary to many great artists who became famous after their death..
Lee Krasner's work (his wife also an artist):
I enjoyed this interactive feature, which allows the visitor imagine HE is Pollock…
Unfortunately, or fortunately, he died young, at the age of 44, as a result of an accident -
combined with his alcoholism...
Till next tribute, Warhol... enjoy!
Exquisite!
It is interesting that we have a friend who has as much, or more, potential to be a great artist. Too bad she won't admit it :-)
Ohh I am sure she knows it! The rest of the world doesn't know it - yet!
I'm not sure, but I don't think "knowing" it and "admitting" it are the same. Perhaps I'm wrong. Either way, the glory goes to God.
Beautiful answer and faith! A friend remains a friend.
Thank you so much!
Superb presentation, gorgeous exhibition, thank you! I didn't know that Jackson Pollock is considered an Expressionists. Yet, even if I'm out, I prefer Impressionists.
Me too!!!
I'm very glad to hear that, thanks!
