THE DECALCOMANIAC GOING DIGITAL
Digital Decalcomania
My previous post DECALCOMANIA and my Alter-Ego BOGOMIL featured some examples of my painting.
I also created digital work, based on details from my artwork, or from Decalcomania images I created specifically for that purpose.
The image below was developed from a photo, cranking it through several filters and combined with a photo of liquid acrylic on mylar.
TOPOLOGY OF DECALCOMANIA. One of the photos I used for this digital collage is missing, but I remember it being a image of water collected in a tree stump.
| This image was later used in this band portrait of my son WORMBOX JAY. |

DECALCOMANIAC TRANSMISSION TOWERS is a digital collage from details of several paintings and a photo of clouds.
Decalcomaniac Mirror is a combination of details of old leather with acrylic on mylar, mirrored in Photoshop.
| this gave rise to several color variations, such as this one | |
|---|---|
| ◄ and additional Photoshop play like this. I used these variations in some of my fashion designs. |
Decalcomaniac Intersection 1 was created with acrylic ink on saran wrap, sprayed with Windex and lightly crumpled, then photographed on a light table and mirrored in Photoshop.
Decalcomaniac Intersection 2 is a variation of Decalcomaniac Intersection 1, turned, mirrored again and color changed in Photoshop.
Decalcomaniac Play I is a detail from one of my paintings, worked on in Photoshop.
Liquid Decalcomania Mirror like Decalcomaniac Intersection 1, this was also created with acrylic ink on saran wrap etc and mirrored in Photoshop. From this, I created different versions that I used as fashion design patterns.
| The original file for the above was this image Liquid Decalcomaniac Desires 1 |

I love this type of pictures. They make me feel like every thing is everything.
thank you very much. I had a look at your posts. Good work!
Thanks! Looking forward for more amazing works from you! It's amazing what you can find on Steemit if you are willing to search through everything :D
Very impressive, you can get those unique patterns by digital manipulation, and many versions and derivatives from the same painting. It is like viewing it from another, distorted, angle and maybe you discover something that was previously hidden from view!
thanks - yes it is a lot of fun and at times useful. 👍
