Sculpture in paperclay: Kratos

Hello people how are you?

I've always liked sculpture, and since I can finally buy the things I need for learn and do it, I decided to learn sculpture as a hobby more than anything. The material is a mixture between newspaper paper and clay. I made this mixture because I don't have a ceramic oven.

So I made Kratos, with the design of the second game, the one that doesn't have the shoulder pads, sorry I don't have pictures of the wire structure. it is complete of wire and covered with newspaper to give a little volume and to spend less material.

Already being dry and to be able to paint it, I covered it with a homemade gesso (mixture between water, plaster and white glue) in order that it hardened a little more, I sanded it a little and ready to paint.

What I don't understand is why the polystyrene base is bent once the clay has dried, I have to put supports so that it doesn't fall, then I will use another material.
