The World as a Mirror- Oil on Canvas
The world is a fancy mirror.
At first it's only suggested, with the water's surface hinting at reality, then the mirror's image that is the world around us begins to show clue upon clue, and whispers the question "Now you see what you are?"
It's a self-similar world.
It's all going on inside, and the most luxurious colors must be fabricated in the darkness of our brains, in the shadowed folds that never see the sunlight, sealed inside of an opaque skull.
As Above, So Below
Like a high eagle sees streams and rivers winding below, a caterpillar sees the same winding veins in the leaf below, and the fractal goes infinitely inwards, repeating the theme.

I really like how the background frame hints at imagery from the main painting ...nice touch! It adds to the dreamy multidimensional quality of the whole painting and the brings out the water. Also the little turtle, watching. I think you must be an artist.
I'm glad you noticed the painting extending onto the frame (and turtle!) I think I was going for the multi-dimensional look like you say.
Thanks for the 'oddities', always very interesting and entertaining. As well as your wonderful art. Like your take on the fractalology of the eagle to caterpillar to inwards of leaf.
Yeah I could see the caterpillar crawling along, pretending to be an eagle looking down on tributaries and creeks. I'm glad you like the art, thanks for the compliment! Ive got more!

I really love that painting. Yet another I'm probably going to return to a number of times. And As Above, So Below? I just heard Howie say that to his uncle on the phone about twenty minutes ago. Not that it's the first time he's said it, he definitely likes the reference, but it has been a little while.
The force is strong between us ;)
These coinciding events are a whole topic of their own, this happens more all the time it seems, as the veil of tears becomes translucent.
