Oil Painting on Canvas from 2008- 'You Are Here'
Oil on canvas, 2008 "You Are Here"
This painting is about fractals, about micro to macro repetition, and would suggest that the world is a mirror. Enjoy!

Very nice...
Ohhhh, I see what you're talking about now, haha! It must be the anyx trail because I didn't actually see this! I went to your page and saw that I'd voted and assumed it was something I'd already seen...now I'm going to have to pay attention to that ;) Oh and @prufarchy gave me a cool tip, I'm gonna have to go back and read it so I can pass the info along, but apparently a steemit member came up with a way for us to make favorite lists and set it so that we vote on them.
And that art is spectacular, I freaking love it!!
Notifications gone for the moment, almost missed this! Yeah I saw your vote in a batch of voters around the same instant all set to a specific weight-- then I had to wonder if you'd seen this. I'm glad you looked! It's my largest oil painting, about 4 feet tall by 3 ft, and my daughter was about 9 when she posed for the photo that I worked from, everything else in the painting is fictional! (Oh the pink flowers were from a photo too)
She's beautiful. I thought I replied to this but it might not have went through. I wanted to take another look at the picture anyway. There is so much detail. I want to follow those steps. When I was young I used to always stare at paintings that featured trails or roads that continued to an unknown destination and wanted to jump in them and see where they went. This brings me back to that feeling.
Yes! I always follow steps and paths in pictures too, and I love putting them into my work like this-- thanks for coming back to look. Those details took countless hours to do while I was listening to short-wave radio, but the biggest conspiracy in this painting is probably that 'you are here'.
I just showed this painting to my husband. You got a WOW. He doesn't give out WOW's willy nilly. He likes my writing, he's very supportive, he's really enjoying my new story so far, but only the playground series has ever received his WOW, ;)
I am Everywhere. I am truly glad to be 'here' though. And truly glad 'you are here'.
I'm honored to have received this Wow, and I'm glad you are here as well!
