RE: gif of the night - 20 frames - Star Burst
Amazing as always. How and how long did it take for you to learn how to use photoshop? I'd love to get into photoshop but every time I've gotten on there I feel like I need a college degree in photoshop just to use it.
It took 20 hours to become comfortably acquainted, but I would say it took me about 6 months to really figure it out, to where I wasn't hitting up a tutorial every few hours anyways. I would say start small and just do speed paintings to start. Then go in and mess around with everything. "What does this do?" curiousity for every tab and setting really helps. A lot of what I know is just from fooling around in PS aimlessly, for hours on end trying different effects.
If you learn everything thier is to know about layering the rest of the program seems secondary. I spend a lot of time just painting and fiddling with layer opacities and settings. I do a lot of overlapping layer work. Don't be afraid to branch out in the program and fiddle with every little thing you can. Once you do learn PS it will help with most all other digital/artistic programs--- I found anyways.
