Art - God Of War - KRATOS - (with steps)

Hello people!

Today I drew Kratos from God of War game series. Really like that guy and all those parts where I spent so much time playing the funk out of them. Here's the art:

Played this game from the first part, did not get the chance to play the newest installation yet, since I don't own a PS4. But there will be time. Drew it with an ink marker without sketching on a paper, scanned it and then worked in the Photoshop software with a help of a drawing pad to do the color, shadows, lighting, etc.

Kinda made the roman gladiator version here since we have Greek mythology, now he's in the Norse mythology , imagined him in Roman empire kinda setting before illustrating.

And without a lot of talk here is the process of illustrating this one:

Rough scan of the ink drawing on paper

Cleaned the background, added color in the background and made the lines clearer and darker

Did a grey base color here

Basic colors on top of a grey base, bit of lighting effect here too

Did some shadow and light details

Texture job with the background, kinda grunge

More and more lighting work, bit of signature splashes, bit of blood, and a tag to finalize it!
