Art - Drawing WHALEFORM, original villain (steps included) tutorial

Hello people!

Today I felt really inspired and made another original design of a villain, this one has an original name thou, SHARK-PEI. Edit: Switched the name to "Whaleform" since he resembles a whale instead of a shark :D

I imagined him as a cybernetic enhanced mutant with shark features and exoskeleton on top of that, dealing huge damage with his bite and with agility that can not be matched by anyone in this universe of mine.

I drew all in Photoshop on my personal computer, using a cheap drawing pad that I just might replace since Steemit rules like a bad boss :D

It felt alright to put a great amount of time into it, I guess these recent results are way better looking that some of the previous ones. I like to spend time if the final art piece comes out alright, and the skills are growing by day and night. Guess it's just like commuting to go to a gym or do some sports to make your body healthier and better in a way.

Just a rough sketch

Finding face points to exaggerate and manipulate

Making a shark like mouth feature and going in with details

Adding a bit of shadow lines

More shadows, more details! Gotta be patient and strong willed!

Even more, it's never enough with these, finalizing the line art here

Color added

Working with background, lighting and textures to make it more authentic

Obliterating the illustration with shadows and lights, more hours, more effort, more lightning effects, more lines in background and theeere it is, just a signature to finish it :D :D
