the beauty of Hand Made Artisan Jewelry in an Automated world
Ever since I was a young child I was fascinated with tribal artifacts, old textiles and hand wrought adornments. These things had so much soul and life. They felt alive like nature. As I got older I was inspired to learn how to make things out of precious metals. When i was a teenager I taught myself how to make jewelry, and today, 20 years later, its a successful business for me. Many people resonate with my style and the soulful quality it captures. Because we live in a world where so many things are made and manufactured by technology and computers I think it leaves a large void for handmade things. There is a soulful presence missing from a lot of the things we buy and put in our homes, or wear, or eat. I believe the more that we step away from things that have a soulful handmade quality the more we will crave things that are handmade and are willing to pay the price they cost to acquire. I never worry how the automated industry of cheep disposable decor will effect my ability to sell my more expensive handmade items because I think this type of product only creates that much more value in handmade items in an automated world. Deep down I believe most people crave an earthy balance and connection to the natural world. My jewelry captures a lot of that and therefore I think that is one of the reasons it has a large appeal and is easy for me to sell. www.taivautierjewelry.com
