Modern Gladius Concept - Two

Variation on my other Modern Gladius concept. The holes are intended to reduce weight, and perhaps add to the aesthetics, though for a functional sword the reduced weight would likely be a drawback. My understanding is that the original Gladius swords were heavy by today's standards.

Blade will be A2 tempered tool steel. Hilt will be aluminum, with a steel guard, unless otherwise is required.
