This might be the worst, most horrifying thing I've ever drawn. Have you ever looked at a kangaroo?

But I did. And I hate myself for it.
Behold, the Catgaroo!
Originally, it was holding a knife. But as @mikesalvi (who came up with the name "Catgaroo") said, that would be even worse.
Does this abomination have just the head of a cat or also the brain?
I'd say it has the brain and the attitude. It's smart enough to be a chef, it's smart enough to fuck up you, your family and everything you hold dear. And it won't bat an eye.

@suesa, I am rightly terrified by your catgaroo, or "krootikat" as they are lovingly known in their native Austrafrica. No man, woman, nor child should ever face such a fearsome abomeownation.
The locals seem to love them until they steal babies and start kicking them about. They've the cruel playfulness of a cat and the kicking strength of a 'roo. Nothing to mess with, for sure.
Drawing suggestion: in honour of all of the forever-alone people the week after Valentine's Day who sit at home, stuffing their faces with discounted cheap chocolate from heart-shaped boxes.... you should draw... well, that. :)

That's not really what splicing is about, but it's a common mistake so you're excused. Also thanks, I strive to be the most evil scientist ever!
Hybridisation maybe?
What would you name it, mixing 2 species genetically to create a hybrid?

Hybridisation is slightly better!
It looks scared. So, I would say it has a brain of a cat. But it could be because it's holding a spoon instead of a knife. Maybe it would be more aware of its powers if it had whiskers proportionate to its body.

It is a mind game and poet. Cangoroo with the cat head and brain. This would find only in a fairy tale. But many people now days think with out own view, but they prefer to think with other one. Based on plankton idea.. Hhhh
