"3rd Generation" is an ongoing research project about Haifa and its history. My ancestors arrived there in 1870/73, as part of the German Templars. This Christian sect was religiously motivated to migrate to Palestine, in order to prepare the Holy Land for the second coming of the Messiah. I am investigating their story and documenting this process through video and audio recordings. The personal becomes more and more political, the further I go.
