Thank you for commenting. Created in 3ds Max and mental ray renderer. I think you can do such things in any other 3D authoring software like Blender (free), Cinema 4D, Maya for example. I used Adobe Illustrator multiple times for creating Logos with splines. They have some very good Bezier handling built in, but nowaday i do it completely in 3ds Max.
