We have different selves in characters such as Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hide. The brain chemicals dictates our mood- with high dopamine we feel powerful and motivated and with low dopamine we feel down and want to run away from ourselves. It is dance between our dualism or in case multism. It also reminds me the recent movie Split (2016) which has 23 distinct characters, where one character wants run away from others.

Another complex theory is manifested in modern art by @steemit-life :)
