About a year ago i designed this building for a client that lives in Texas who came back to his hometown in Nigeria. He gave me his brief and all he wanted out of the design. I gave him a sample of what i thought he was looking for and he smiled and asked me about the African Architects, how we design, build and what inspires our design.
I told him basically "Africa is still developing and that nature inspires our design" There after, he took out his ipad and showed me series of buildings from America where he came back from and I was wowed.
I got inspired just by looking at the gallery and that was how this building came up.
Building description :
The building here is a residential structure located in a city called Uyo in Nigeria.Designed with Revit Architecture software,
) It has four bedrooms with a kitchen and green roofs at each ends. It was designed by me @spectacode.
This building was inspired by 1. My African Architecture style and
2. What I could get out of the Gallery of the client that came from Texas.
Architecture has taken a new phase in Africa, making mansions out of the Forests, Apartments out of Huts, sky scrapers out of Tree houses and heaven out of thatched houses.
