Jewelry art and physiotherapy

In the world of design, jewelery is not so common, which would combine not only aesthetics and beauty, but also medical benefits! To such products it is possible to carry easily jewelry of the Polish company Miko +. They are all aimed at supporting the functions of the wrist, which is very tired when you use your computer often!

This is a project of graduates of the Poznan School of the Form, which was created in the framework of the thesis. Jewelry won the main prize at the Global Grad exhibition in Dubai. Their work was recognized as the best among 200 projects submitted by universities from 43 countries. The cost of the award, awarded for the first time in the history of the Global Grad Show, was $ 10,000.

The designers have developed 6 jewelry items, each of which works on different principles, but all of them are united by a single goal - the support of the wrist and muscles. In fact, designers combined the aesthetic function of jewelry with a physiotherapy function.

Physiotherapy and wearing these orthosis jewelry can help in diseases such as arthritis and arthritis. Very often women - namely they became a target group - are ashamed to wear orthoses, because they indicate the disability of the body. Of course, they do not completely replace physiotherapy or orthopedics, but are convenient support for the wrist and remind you to perform a series of preventive exercises.

For example, a bracelet with a hemispherical eye, makes the muscles work more evenly when you have to constantly work with a computer mouse, and the ring has a circular movable surface that can be used for massage. "Women have a tendency to play with jewelry, we decided to use this fact, it helps massage, makes the massage deeper," says the project designer.

Miko + jewelry was developed in cooperation with a physiotherapist and was made using traditional jewelry techniques.
