Sisters Art Lab - monthlong challenge - March - Impressionism - Vincent van Gogh - Portraits
This month of March we dedicate to : Vincent Willem Van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. We celebrate his 165th birthday this month.
For the second week of March we want to study his portrait paintings. One would think immediately of his self portraits of which he did numerous versions but he also made an extensive amount of portraits from the people in his life. This is just an example of one of his portraits.
