Packing up my colors

in #art7 years ago

This morning I'm packing up my oil colors! It's an"hard" work, but someone have to do it (it's a joke ^_^)

Every artist knows how important the colors are for his/her own work and how much expensive is to buy them too!

Some months ago, one of my relatives give me more and more tubes of oil colors that her neighbor (an old old painter) used for his artworks. It's a sad story, because this old painter can no longer paint and so he gave away his brushes and his colors.

I really thanks this painter, because now we have more and more colors (not only oil colors, but also watercolors, inks and acrylics) to add to our colors!

In the pics you can see just a part of this beautiful "gift", I'm packing up all our new colors ^_^

See ya soon

E o trabalho do velho pintor passará para suas mãos, assim como a vida passa de uma "tela corporal para outra" proveniente de um lindo céu azul! Bom dia, querida amiga @silviabeneforti! Desejo-lhe muitas conquistas e sorrisos hoje!

Buona giornata anche a te, @manandezo ! ^_^

nice!

would this be the unpackaged version?

ahahah in my lab there are more and more of these "unpackaged versions" :D

sometimes, to open the old tubes, I need someting strong and this is perfect :D

Could also be a way to create human/machine art, like Jean Tinguely did with his cycle driven drawing creation.

I saw some videos about the "painter machines", but honestly, even if I really love the IT, the machines can't have the main skill of the art: imagination! ^_^

It is a different way of looking at art, interestingly painters like Pollock with his drip technique resulted in sometimes repetitive forms in the painting, and sometimes kind-a random. Dutch painter Karel Appel developed a technique in which he throws/threw paint, although this can be done with some control, the result on the painting itself is somewhat random. Kaleidoscopes are another form of human/machine art; You may not see this as art, but I think nowadays a lot of those ways of producing is considered art. and what about all the digital art created, still images, but also video? Already for some years some Spanish company create classical music 100% by AI, even played by London Symphony Orchestra and reviewed by the specialist as being pieces that get to the emotions of the listeners, therefore classified by them as being a genuine piece of musical art, whilst it was 100% created by 'machine'. I have debates with my music producer friends on these type of topics, and they generally say that music shall be created by humans (although they us computers and drumboxes to actually create the music; ie not with acoustical instruments). Anyways, I'm by far someone who knows art, so I can only have my view as an outsider :) I appreciate your opinion as an artist, for sure!

Yes, it's true, it's different way of looking at art and I think this the "strong points" of the Art. Everyone can look a single pieces on different way and "read" different things on the same canvas :D When I saw the Pollock's artworks I don't see simply a repetitive forms or a kind a random, but I see how the painter decided to represent something. Argh, it's difficult for me to use the right terms in English to write what I want to write, but I'll try. ^^ As an artist (but not just because i'm an artist, it's because I have my own experiences and skills and thoughts, my own personality) when I watch a piece of art, the first thought is about what I'm feeling. If the piece made me feel strong emotions (sadness, happiness, anger, etc) so the piece work for me and I try to "understand" the tecnique and others, if I don't feel anything, it's a wrong piece (for me ^^). So, about the machine, I think it can be a good "painter", but behind the machine there's always a bit of human (the coders, for example), so at the end, the machine is just another tool for the human imagination ^_^ I really appreciate to talk about how different people watch/think/work on art, thanks so much for your comments!
