היא הקמע שלי במובן הכי קטן ופשוט שמשהו בנוכחות הויזואלית שלה ממלא אותי מין תחושה טובה כזאת.
"פסל אלת הנחש" הידועה גם כ"אמא אדמה" היא אחת העדויות העיקריות לכך שהתרבות המינואית (3000 לפנה"ס, כרתים) הייתה תרבות מטרנאליסטית ובדת שלהם רווחה סגידה לדמויות נשיות.
התקופה המינואית נמשכה בערך 1500 שנה ונחשבה למאד משגשגת, במיוחד לאור היכולת הטובה של התושבים בכל מה שקשור בימאות, ושיט. השליטה שלהם בים הובילה ליצירת קשרי מסחר מעולים עם מצרים והם סחרו בעיקר בשמנים מהולים עם בשמים ששימשו לרחצה, שהמשאבים לייצורם היו נפוצים יחסית באזור כרתים.
הפעם הראשונה שנתקלתי באלת הנחש הייתה באחד מהשיעורים העיוניים אי שם בשנה א והפעם השניה היתה ממש במקרה כשטיילתי בכרתים ונכנסתי בספונטאניות למוזיאון הארכיאולוגיה בהירקליון ולפתע היא הייתה שם.
לא היה לי מושג שמדוברבסך הכל בבקושי 20 ס"מ של פסל. צלמית קטנה ועוצמתית.
אין ספק שזה מרגש לראות במציאות יצירות שלמדת עליהם בכיתה ופתאום מבינים כמה אין קשר הרבה פעמים בין התמונה במצגת למציאות, לחטטים בציור/בפסל ובעצם לתביעת היד של האמן

Goddess Snake is a kind of my charm.
It is my charm for making me feel good.
" goddess of the snake" known also as "Mother Earth" is one of the clear evidence for Minoan calture being maternal and admiring woman. (crete, 3000 bc)
The first time I came across the snake goddess was in one of the theoretical classes somewhere in the first year of my studies, and the second time was just by accident when I was walking in Crete and spontaneously entered the Archeology Museum in Heraklion and suddenly it was there.
I had no idea that it was all about 20 cm of a scalpture, a small, powerful figurine.
There is no doubt that it is exciting to see in reality works that you learned about them in the classroom and suddenly realize how often there is no connection between the picture in the presentation and the reality, the pictorial drawings /
