New Blockchain based Art Collaboration Website
Dear friends and followers,
I just recently fell in love with a website called dada.nyc.
It's a blockchain based collaboration website for artists and if you're into art or design, you should definitely check it out.
My first drawing
Here you can see the first digital drawing I did on the website. It's called "The Outliner":
Usually artists reply to a drawing by drawing another work right to the one you made. But as I'm not sure about sharing the works of the other artists at Steemit, I just show you my other replies to the the same work.
Collaboration
The website is all about visual communication and you should definitely check out the whole collaboration, to see how it works.
Steemians over there
There are already some artists from Steemit over there, so if you want to check them out and follow them, here are the profiles of @alexandravart, @opheliafu, @steemitadventure, @matytan and @drawingly.
Stellabelle's Interview
If you want to know more about the idea behind dada.nyc, you should watch the four part interview, that @stellabelle did with the founders of dada on dtube.
And don't forget to follow my dada-account, too!
Looking forward to playing - See you there!
@shortcut - art, creativity & more
creativity is based on freedom
I checked out their site - there are some really interesting works on there. I really hope this projects gets some serious traction within the NYC artist community.
Yes, there are already some very talented artists from all over the world. I guess the "nyc" in the domain name is only because the company is located in New York City.
Dankeschoen @shortcut! This is Judy, the cofounder of DADA. Thanks for sharing this. This collaboration, or as we call it, visual conversation, is one of my favorite recent ones. And I can't wait to see what happens next in it. In any case, thanks for the shoutout and thanks to you and all our new artists from Steemit that are helping spread the word about DADA: @stellabelle @alexandravart, @opheliafu. Welcome @steemitadventure, @matytan and @drawingly. Hugs to all of ya!
Thanks for your comment and appreciation, Judy. I had no idea, that you’re also at Steemit. Will follow you right away. You have really built something very special and unique with the dada website. It‘s so much fun to communicate in a visual way and collaborate with all those amazing artists, that are already there.
I hope that many more Steemians will give it a try and maybe there will even be some sort of integration of the Steem blockchain in the future, so that it would be possible to get rewarded for the contribution to a visual communication.
As far as I understand, I‘m only allowed to share the visual communications in a non-commercial intention right now and I only own the rights to share my individual works. Am I right?
Hi hi I feel like an evel crazy scientist that infected inocent steemian artists with the dada virus :p happy that you joined :p
Yeah! To be honest, I checked out the website some time ago, but thought it would be for buying digital artworks with cryptos only. After you posted your first artwork, that you created over there, I signed up and realized, what it's really about. I definitely have to thank you for making me look into it more deeply :-)
and I have to thank @stellabelle for those interviews because I too returned to it after a failed first attempt :P
so it will be a chain of thanks
and thank you for joining I think this is a fun way to collaborate :P
Sure! Stella is really good in digging out those gems and in connecting people :-) Looking forward to our first collab.
ooo that one with white lines is my next venture tomorrow, I think you are in that too
Yay, I created the one with the white lines.
Your artistry is playful and fun. I clicked on the link and yes it does look like a artist friendly site.
FYI I was hacked here on Steemit Friday. 663.843 was taken from my SBD in an instant by redirecting me to Steewit instead of Steemit without my knowledge. It was a duplicate of steemitt. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF. I have written two posts so far on this in my blogs if you wish to see the story. Again always enjoy your art. Blessings - Troy
Argh! That's really bad...I feel very sorry for you! Thanks for the advice to be careful and good luck in making some new rewards to cover your loss.
Ah that sucks big time! I gave you my vote to ease the pain a bit! (Eventhough my power isnt so big :) )
Thank you I truly appreciate that. Yes it sucks. Again thanks! @michelmake
Oh that is awful. Almost stepped into a trap myself a couple of days ago, the URL was "steemil" instead of "steemit"... very devious!!
This is scary!! How did that site take your money without your permission....so scary!! I am mainly asking in order to try to figure out how exactly to protect myself......so you typed in Steemit but it sent you to the one with almost the same name and that somehow accessed your account here? I am not sure how one could even protect oneself in that situation
I was on steemit. There was a spammed comment on a blog that I clicked on it sent me to Steewit and yes helps itself to my wallet. My advice 1) Do not click on comments that may be spammed. 2) Never use your master key 3) Pay attention to your browser adresss. I felt violated and taken advantage of. That was over $2,000 in SBD. Be very careful.
thankyou for the warning! that is crazy!! somit asked for your master key when it redirected? were you able to change your key so they cant take it again if that is how they got it?
The artwork on the site is fantastic, the site navigation is another matter. I can't figure out how to get an overview :-(
I agree, that's where the dadaistic aspect comes in... I actually visited the site a few weeks ago and moved on, because I couldn't figure out, what's it all about. This link gives an overview of some of the "best" visual communications, but when you want to follow the collaborative works of a specific user, you will need to sign up and favorite that user.
That's a shame, an overview would do wonders for the site, but as I said, the artists there are great!
Absolutely, as the site is still in beta, I'm pretty sure the navigation will improve over time.
This site looks cool! I registrated immediately!
Very cool! See you there ;-)
Thanks for sharing! A link to your post was included in the Steem.center wiki article about Art. Thanks and good luck again!
Thank you, much appreciated :-)
Was zu Hölle?
Looks really interesting. @alexandravart had already pointed me towards it and I will definitely check it out!
May I invite you to do a post about yourself with the artistbehindthearttreat?
Cool! Would definitely love to see you there ;-) I will consider doing an #artistbehindthearttreat post. Although I already posted about my background several times, it might be interesting to aggregate the info in one post.
Yes, I know you haven't been "hiding", but I thought it would be nice to have a little life story in one post and one could always use it for reference.
Been trying dada a bit, but I can't get my tablet to work with their thingy.. tried to paint something in a different app, but I suppose there is no way, to paste anything.. :-(
Too bad... and you’re right: As far as I know there is no way to paste any graphics from outside. Maybe your browser is outdated?
But I will see, that I can do a #artistbehindtheart post within the next few days. Need to dig out some historic photos and such. Will certainly mention you, so that you will know. Thanks again for the invite.
Hey Rheinhard, I did not forget about your invitation to do an #artistbehindthearttreat post. I just realized, that I need some more time to sort everything out. As my youngest daughter turns 7 this week, I will be quite busy and will most likely only be able to do some short posts. Hopefully it's ok to get back to the idea in a week or so. Thanks for understanding.
Not to worry. Thanks a lot for remembering, unfortunately it didn't catch on the way I thought it would... anyways, its something you'd do, because you want to, not because someone wants you to. Thats why I made it a "treat" instead of a "challenge"...
Thanks for understanding, Reinhard. I still like the idea, but as it’s going to become a „reference“ post, I want to make sure, that it‘s really good.
👍
Great work! Dada is really a great opportunity for artists and I'm happy you're contributing that back into slothicorn!

Thanks a lot for your support :-) I really think, blockchain technology will change the art world and I'm happy to be part of this journey.
