Bear Necessities

I love it when people are able to mix their passion for art with their daily routine. In this example, one of the founders for a restaurant chain known as Black Bear Diner has mixed his passion for sculpture with his business, which is a restaurant chain with locations across the USA.

The founder and artist’s name is Bob Manley. In addition to founding the diner in Mt. Shasta, California USA, he also uses a chainsaw to make sculptures. His vision was to create bears doing various activities.

The bears in his sculptures are performing activities that are typical of the local surroundings. For example, you will find bears flying a plane near a location by an airport. Other activities of these bears include fishing, hiking, or climbing trees.
