Rotoreliefs // inspired by Marcel Duchamp

As part of the Bonus Features footage in the Surrealist Erotica series and in the supplementary What is Surrealism series I included a short film inspired by Marcel Duchamp. The purpose of these supplementary videos is to make shorter, more experimental, and less explicit videos inspired by artists related to Surrealism and Dada that I didn't have enough material to make a full episode of, or I simply want to reference them and acknowledge their contribution to the art movement. I made recreations of his rotoreliefs, and they do actually spin but it was hard to get them all going at once :)

I've visited Duchamp before to create content for the book version of the project, but this is the first time there's a video. Check out this older post where I recreate Duchamp's look as his alter ego Rrose Selavy.
