Calling All Artists - A Commission Opportunity
I want to pay you for your original art!
Greetings Steemit,
I'm getting ready to publish a D&D adventure I've written on The Dungeon Masters Guild. I don't want this simply to be a document loaded with text. I want it to be something beautiful.
I'm looking for an artist to design the front cover of this adventure document. Here are the facts:
- I'm willing to pay in Steem or SBD (other payment methods may be negotiated, but this would be easiest.)
- I likely can't afford to pay you what you deserve, but I hope we can come up with a number that we can both be happy with.
What am I looking for?
The adventure is called Fog Over Blackpool. It's about a small village that, unbeknownst to the population, has been taken over by a vampire. It was once a beautiful but quaint farming village, seated in the plains at the edge of a forest with jagged mountains looming in the distance. Now it's covered in a thick fog and the plant life has all but dried up and died save for the ominous vines that now cover the buildings.
I would like to see a piece of art that depicts the village, maybe with an adventurer or two standing at the border about to enter.
Specifications:
The only real spec is that the finished piece needs to look good on an 8.5 x 11 cover. The artwork itself doesn't necessarily need to be 8.5 x 11, but it should probably be oriented portrait rather than landscape, otherwise a lot of it will be wasted.

Here are a few pieces that illustrate aspects of what I'm going for. This first piece is really similar to the scene in my mind, although the art made for my adventure needs to be foggy, dark and frightening.

I hope you find an artist and good luck with your story on dmsguild! Unfortunately I can't do it - no time to spare whatsoever, and that detailed isn't really my style (though dark and foggy is my thing!)
