Inktober 2018 Day 16 & 17- Staying on Schedule, Sort of!
Hi Steem Folk!
Here we are back on my journey as I plan on fulfilling my dream of finishing my first inktober.
So far so good!
A few little delays here and there, but thankfully the pressure hasn't been too high. I went on a bit of long hike yesterday so it set things a little bit back, but I got to experience plenty of beautiful sites and sounds :D !
Alrighty, let's get on down to business!
[Addendum: I am going to do things a little differently and show the process photos, sort of like what I did for the Woven pages.]
---Day 16 - "Angular"---
First the pencil sketch:
Onto some thin inks:
Time to thicken up those pigment lines:
Followed by some grey markers to add some volume:
Last, but not least, use some solid blacks to create framing elements and add value contrast:
Voila! I had a lot of fun with the 'antlers' on this one. The face didn't come out as would have hoped, but it's fine as it is. Sometimes one just has to accept that the hand won't necessarily follow the mind XD
---Day 17 - "Swollen"---
Rather indulgent sounding, this word. Let's see what bubbles up from the mind:
Time for some stronger lines:
Followed by some juicier lines:
Add some greys to flesh out the roundness:
Aaaand finally a few more greys to give a quick sense of scenery!
Sweet! That's 2 day I wanted to share with you guys!

These two are very lovely Inktober pieces, and they're very different from one to the other.

I like to keep the subject matter broad and varied, especially for this event since I'm using it as an opportunity to experiment and explore various styles (ฅ`ω´ฅ)

I am really glad I got those markers for inktober. I haven't used such tools in years, literally, and playing with them again is liek bumping into an old friend - w-) <3
