Home Sweet Home! ~

in #art6 years ago

Hello Steemians! After my long hiatus because of my exams and university issues, I am finally back home in one piece. To be honest, I haven't felt so relaxed in a while. This makes me super happy.

The journey was long and tiresome even though it wasn't supposed to be. I decided I'd be needing my novels back home so I stuffed a bunch of them in my bag and took it to the airport. Of course it was heavy! I had clothes that needed to be washed and some of my skincare supplies which I was sure I wouldn't find in this old town. My hands gave way halfway but I still dragged my bag up to my flight's destination. From there, I was supposed to board a train for 4 hours but the train arrived around the time I was supposed to be home. Talk about being late! An entire day was wasted just to get home but it was all still worth it. At least I have a month or more to stay here and enjoy the time at my home sweet home~~

The first thing I did was search for my March drafts that I have been posting here on steemit. They are still as good as they were when I left them... but what caught my attention was a very worn out drawing that I remember making a year or two ago. I kinda wanted to share it here so I instantly clicked a photo.

An old manga art

I feel really fired up to draw again but my swollen arms will take another day to get all better. I've been moving them around and trying to get them back to normal as quickly as possible. 😁 I'm just physically super weak and I think I really need to work on that.

Another thing I did was to put my novels to use and read them! I haven't had the time to read books because of my bad sleeping habits and chattering in my room back in the dorm. I'm a peace lover and that can get problematic very often. Thankfully, I hope the coming semester will be much easier for me. But then again, who waits that long? I knew I had to read and I quickly got to reading.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

About the author

To Kill a Mockingbird is a book I've heard a lot about but never actually read. To be honest, I haven't read many books before. Sometimes I face problems because I am not a native English speaker. There are words, phrases or references which are difficult to grasp. I usually rely on Google or interpret it the way I understand it. But once I get a little understanding of the story, it becomes super fun to read. Not many people read books nowadays but I think it's good to try it every once in a while.

Read a book recently? I'd be happy if you have something to recommend!

That's all! Thank you for visiting.
Have a nice day.
See you soon!

Thank you! I'm glad to be back ^^
I've read short stories by Sherlock Holmes and I honestly loved them. I always wanted to read the novels though. Maybe I'll try it sometime. I've heard of Jane Eyre as well. It's great that you reminded me. It's one of the books I have on my list. As for zombies, I'm not so sure. But I would only know when I try it. Thank you so much for your recommendations ^^

Sherlock Holmes is a great read I have all the books ! well zombies are'nt to everyone's taste , but no matter it would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing ; ) have a great day x
