RE: Back to digital art - dear world, please stop heating!

in #art6 years ago

It's getting cold up my end of the planet, to some value of cold, as compared to other places it doesn't get cold XD Which is great for me as I hate the cold, I can never do anything in it (hands too cold to hold the pen properly, too much pain in too many places no matter how much I wrap up).

How hot does your place get that your tablet is overheating? D: sounds like you need a place with decent aircon!

It was may be about +30 or more, and after half hour of work I felt that it really was too hot to go on. I doesn't mean that it was that hot that I was afraid to burn myself, but I was afraid that the tablet will get damaged. When I was working on Wacom Intuos I had no such problem (well, I doubt that it has anything inside it that can overheat), but with Cintiq it's different

My cintiq is usually fine and we normally get over 30C in summertime (35-40 is a bit more common). I'm reasonably certain their operational temperature goes to at least 40 but it's been a while since I checked and maybe I'm remembering wrong. Could probably find out online anyway. But you seem to also have snow there so perhaps it's different with a bigger temperature range? Over here it rarely drops too far below 10 in winter. I'll normally crank the aircon if it's going to be close to or over 35C just to make sure the electronics will be okay.
