As a couch-potato I was extremely tempted to stay at home too... but why not just give it a shot? Your home can wait, the light festival can't... and it's free so nothing is lost except for a little time. Next year?
If we'll be here till next year, then for sure. Yes, we behaved exactly as you said, couch potatoes eating delicious Dutch cheeses. For sure we'll visit Amsterdam while we're in the Netherlands :)
I'm afraid I didn't like it quite so much. I found it too 'artistic' for my taste. However, my taste was only one of many!
