DOES CREATIVITY NEEDS A SOURCE?

When you are in a type of field when you are dependent on your creativity then you have to pressurise your brain for giving output?
But are there things our brain depends on to think something new?
DOES CREATIVITY NEEDS A SOURCE?
AND THAT SOURCE COMES FROM SOMETHING FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD AND NOT WITHIN OUR BRAIN???
