I share my illustration, a portrait of "The King" Elvis Presley

I made this drawing with graphite pencil and without lines. All the strokes are made based on circumferences in a drawing technique in realism

As this drawing is in pencil and there were many steps, I will place the step by step of the grouped path

Step 1

First I was doing the profile of the face and hair in a quick sketch. In this type of drawings the details are very important, so the circular lines give greater characterization to the drawing. Up to here we can see some attempts of lines, but in fact they are made in circular movements

Step 2

Now we give more pressure to the pencil so that the hair takes shape and volume (This would be great if you had different types of pencils, I used only one type because the technique allows it), For the shaded parts I used the pencil gently and bringing the remains of the coal from the mine to achieve that detail

Step 3

With circular movements I make the strokes to form half lines (Not straight and made at one time, but with circular strokes) to make a plot helped by a light pointillism to shape the suit. With the sharp tip of the pencil I form my eyes from the reflection of the light and direct my gaze to a point

Reinforcement in some parts shadows to give a finish to the drawing

Very soon I will be uploading other portraits, This one I liked doing it because Elvis is one of my musical idols
