Hey Steemians! In case you haven't heard, I started a daily art post.

The theme is based on that day's less popular or even funny national or international holiday. Today is October 10th and according to the website www.daysoftheyear.com, it is Shift 1o Day, Hug a Drummer Day, World Homeless Day, World Mental Health Day, Native American Day, Handbag Day and Cake Decorating Day. So today I will post an original piece of artwork that corresponds with one or more of these particular 'holidays'.

Columbus Day?! WTF?!

Have you ever stopped to wonder why people celebrate a bad sailor that missed his mark multiple times, then when he finally "found" North America, him and his men slaughtered countless Native Americans and raped their wifes??? Seems like a stand-up guy that I would want to celebrate once a year.

...On the other hand, if we're celebrating the fact that he is dead...hmmm.
