Well, this is supposed to be my entry for the past Association of Working Scholars Song Writing Contest, however, I wasn't able to finish putting a background rhythm since I got a little bit busy xD hehe... Since I wasn't able to make it a song because it doesn't have a rhythm, i will as represent this as a poem. I entitled this poem as...
The Pride of UCLM
(I Am A Proud Working Scholar)

Yearning to achieve our goals and desires in life
Being a Working Scholar we choose to abide
Reaching each of our dreams, taking it gradually
Every step we take, giving everything devotedly
Putting our greatest effort in everything we do
Whatever difficulties we encounter, we continue
With God Almighty, leading each of our ways
Every challenge we face, we’re able to find ways
Achieving our ambitions, nothing can interfere
Training ourselves, we believe we are prepared
Breaking each and every wall blocking our path
We have the power, the will to be within the path
We are a proud UC-nian, a Working Scholar!
A pride of our Dear Alma Matter, U-C-L-M
We do believe, we survive, we can achieve it!
Dreaming big, soaring high, we’re gonna make it!
Of all the experiences we have in the institution
Everything were just a preliminary preparation
For whatever our future lives would bring to us
We’ll be standing firm as to what has been taught to us
For the sleepless nights and tiresome days we had
Making all the tasks possible thought it’s not
For balancing our time for studies and works
Making things easier through spoon and forks
The joy, fun and enjoyment that can never be replaced
Even the hard times and disagreements we’ve all spent
Here we build and find a strong bond of relationship
Hence we can call it a family and best friendship
Our determination and might we all dedicate
To those who never gave up whatever it takes
For us to see the light of a better opportunity
As the institution’s mission and vision’s dignity
It would be a long journey to attain what we want
But we’ll do our best to survive until the last part
We are a proud UC-nian, a Working Scholar!
We are the pride of our Dear Alma Matter, U-C-L-M!
