Second Layer of Paint On The Blood Bay

I have been working on the horse off and on all day and it's time to give it a rest. The feet look out of line but I will fix that with shadows, no worries! Time to move on to other subjects. See you next Monday!

The Daffodils are coming up and it's time get my gardens ready for spring. I will be gone all weekend. I hope you all have a very steemy weekend!

22 x 30 inches, 300lb cold press cotton paper, watercolor and gouache.

Working from an old memory, sketching a memory into form and finally creating a painting.

Looks good, and nice composition! By the way, I'm slightly annoyed by all of the "helpful suggestions" people are leaving in the comments! makes me feel protective of your work. You've stated that you're not finished and the piece is in process, so they should keep their mouths quiet until you're finished! And even then, if it were me, I'm really sure I'd want to hear their feedback unless I specifically asked....have you asked?

@natureofbeing, most people don't read my post, English isn't their native language. At first it kind of ticked me off. Then I thought, "oh what the heck, I practice some of the lessons my Buddhist teachers taught me."

A lot of people don't have a clue what goes into painting so I will show them the process and work on getting a thick skin...

Thank you for stopping by, it's nice to talk to someone that understands the creative process <

Lol, great attitude @reddust...I like that approach to life - not taking things personally and just seeing what there is to learn from what's offered.

I agree that many don't actually read the post and about the language barrier, and it also seems that they are taking cues from other's comments and thinking they'll do the same. Oh well, tis the nature of things here these days! Keep up the great work as always.

The front feet are little bit need some work but the rest is totally fine,- and about the spamming subject i want to tell you that you will do the greatest thing by flagging them, sometimes i try to see your blogs but with the huge amount of comments my phone start running like a 🐌, but now it's all fine-
Returning to the painting, just go ahead you did great work so far i don't know how the final version will be like and i can't wait to see it :)

I came back to make my replies before I shut my computer down for the weekend and your reply caught my eye @soufiani.

It's been hard flagging peoples post even if they're bots or just making lame replies. Makes me feel awful but then again, I am enabling bad behavior by rewarding replies that haven't put any effort to connect with the author. Many authors like me put hours into their work and it hardly takes any work to leave a two word comment or a lame meme...

So I figure flagging is helping even though it is no fun at all!

I will line up the feet, this happens to me all the time, I have a awful time with perspective lol

Thank you again <3

Many thanks for your reply, i can imagine your feeling when you spend a lot of time making a good content and some one came an Comment with nice 😓, you feel like your time was wasted on just those spammers.
Keep working on your painting and let us updated, happy weekend and thank you again for replying me before shut down 😅

Unique and beautiful piece of art. I have always wanted to learn painting but i really don't think I have the inborn skills, thou I collect art works(digital painting) in my own little way.

I love this, keep painting

I think we are all born artist but some of us are stubborn and keep on drawing. I think art is a skill you can learn if you have the desire @aristokratos...thank you

Thank you for reigniting that interest. I think I will start taking classes.

Though I have started learning a bit of 3D animation, I seem to be more interested when art works move, it fascinates me

This is an awesome art photography. Its really amazing photo and also creative art. I really impressed your painting.

painting horse need a very long time very good job.

@sarjoni, yes this painting won't be finish until the end of the month. I work around 4 hours a day on pieces like this.

You are a great talent. I wonder how you do all this... So beautiful... So professional. It would be a good idea to establish *art exhibition center *. Don't you think so.?

I am not professional, maybe if I keep practicing in a few more years, it would be nice. I am showing a few of my paintings this year. Thank you @eurogee

Cant wait for this lovely horse to be made ready.....really wanna ride on it😁
Lovely painting....looks much more better now

@cyprianj, riding an animal that weighs over 1200 lbs and can kill you if it wants to does get the heart pumping! I have had a few horses try and hurt me, like brushing me off going under a low hanging tree limb. I had to jump up and over the limb and ripped my upper thigh open and had to walk a mile home with a big hole in my leg. I think I was 16 years old at that time...

One kicked me, left a hoof print in my right thigh, severed a muscle when I was nine years old. That was a mean mare, I should of watched out for her...

I also have had horses protect me, one mare I remember, her name was Lady and she went after the mare that kicked me and beat the crap out of her. I played with Lady's foals when I was a kid, I think she thought I was one of her babies.

Horses are a lot like people. There are a few mean ones but most of them are kind hearted.

😨 really they can be mean

you have shown to us how gradually color change with its layer, now i can understad why several color and layer being used. its looking beautiful and waiting till monday for seeing better improvements on this art, saturday- enjoy your coffee!

Thank you @sheikh27 for your patience and understanding. I don't know what is more difficult writing or painting. One big difference, I enjoy painting...writing is no fun at all and I still haven't figured out why I like to do both. Maybe I am crazy?

You nicely created her emotional effect from this painting. Wonderful creativity and meaningful art work.

Just wait until the apple tree and the background are detailed out. I have a feeling this painting is going to turn out after I caught the horses personality. Thank you @moniristi

You are welcome my friend, I have a new post, do not forget to visit ya, let me add the spirit in steemit.

We can see your drawing step by step. At the first time of the paint, it seemed nothing. Now it is the good one.Really you are a good skilled artist.
