This spider is one of my favorites of all the art you've posted here. You really captured the essence -- the awareness and thoughtfulness - of these jumping spiders. You really got their fuzziness, too. Jumping spiders are incredible spiders!

They are very smart, to the point of looking thoughtful when faced with several choices. I used to interact with the tiny ones as a child. I could hold the wee one in the palm of my hand and look close enough to see their eyes looking back at me. Some would sit for minutes at a time befor jumping off my hand. Two other insect with intelligent eyes, the dragon fly and praying mantis.

Thank you @haphazard-hstead

Beautiful work dear friend @reddust you can see the great work you do to highlight every detail, thank you very much for sharing this great work

Thank you dear friend, it was fun!

Amazing! From the thumbnail I thought it WAS a photograph!

Beautiful art. Did you have a small model to work from, with magnifying glass? ( : Doubtful, as he/she would only be there for a few seconds. They can really jump. (I have several videos of them doing their thing tucked away somewhere here. ) I would think spiders would be much fun to draw and paint. Such great detail. Thanks for sharing your art with us.

I used to study bugs, spiders, amphibians as a child. I had aquariums, microscopes, and a magnifying glass too. Alas I grew up, had to work to support my kids and let my hobbies go...now I'm old and turning back to my childhood hobbies. This picture was taken from a photo, the link is in the article.

Oops, missed the link part. But the art is wonderful, and nice you are getting back to these joys of the hobby of old. One of the fun things to look forward to as life slows a bit as we age. Well, some things slow, some head off at light speed.

Yes, time speeds up, which for me is a good thing, no fear!. Death is another adventure💫
