We're nerds in my home. We geek out on documentaries and have geeky things like a good news jar, which we fill over the course of the year with fortune-cookie sized paper slips of good news. On January 1st, we cracked it open and read them aloud to ourselves. It's a great way to start a year.

And then I got to inaugurate the 2017 jar with a slip of good news - One of my wee paintings sold from Yellow House Gallery. And also, I've been selected for one of their small group shows for the first half of the year. Knowing that, and knowing that I have at least two other shows lined up for before March, feels pretty good. This brag isn't especially humble, I guess. All success is worth celebrating in my books. :)
