New Finished Painting! Dancing For Peanuts.

She's the fourth in my naughty clown series, inspired by big Joey Clown feet. Clowns have been an important part of my life for many years, now. They're a big part of my community, and they're unsung artists.

There's bad clown out there, the same way there's bad food, shitty beer, and terrible movies. And there's good clown. And there's great clown. And there are so many kinds of clown, it's really hard to keep track of all of them.

Joey clowns are the kind most people are familiar with. The kids' birthday party clown. There's also Baby clown, which if they speak at all during their acts, it's in gibberish, or with a very small vocabulary. There are Bouffon Clowns, my favourite, which are satirical to human life. All clowns tend to be exaggerations of character in some way or other, but Bouffon, in my experience, takes more of the darkness and puts it on display. To me, that's where you find the laughter.

So in this piece here, big feet aside, she's got pink elephants from the circus (tribute to my recent Moonshine Parade sale) throwing peanuts at her. She's even got one tucked into her underwear. In her reality, peanuts are prosperity.
