Everything Comes Back to Alice (Sold Art and Opportunities)
This is a piece I made a couple years ago, already. I sold it to a friend, including the first frame I ever made (not seen in this photo). Since then, I've sold a couple prints of it. One to another friend who had Mikey make a nice frame for it.
It was about the time I made that aforementioned print that I discovered the print shop in my neighbourhood. The person in charge likes this one the best. I call it 'A Storm of Spores', and she calls it 'Smokey Smokerson'.
I was just picking some prints up the other day, and a young entrepreneur noticed them. He reacted really strongly, telling me that he's got a fashion show coming up and I should get some work at him to make clothes with. It's an avenue I've been wanting to go down, so I'm super hopeful it pans out. But like I've said in previous posts, it's always too soon to assume. We'll just have to see how the meeting goes.
She, the print shop proprietor, said outright that I should show him this piece. <3
I also have been working on an Alice in Wonderland themed portrait design for a couple friends who are commissioning. Everything is coming up Alice!

That would be an awesome opportunity. I hope it pans out.
I really like this. It would've been easy to make it too familiar looking or to get too cheesy with the mashup. You managed to thread that path make it more the than the sum of its parts. The 'gloomy' aspect of GoT made it an interesting take on Alice, yet you were pretty subtle about it. I didn't even pick up on the GoT stuff until I noticed the badge, then it all popped for me.
