Almost Finished Small Art.
This piece is going to get a little bit of airbrushing, I think. I really want the drop-shadow to pop, so I'm going to have to cut a stencil of the moth body to spray. After that, I'm not sure if there'll be any more to add. Maybe I'll keep trying to improve the face. The whole thing is 8x10", so this is a pretty small thing.
It's from a 'dirty pour'. I love doing those. I'm going to play with that sort of abstractism a lot in the coming weeks while Mikey is busy with the musical he's been cast in. Reason only being he otherwise uses my table for building projects the rest of the time.
Today is going to be crazy. I got up at 6:45 on a Saturday so that I can be ready to go to this huge east-end yard sale thing. Not my idea. I can't stay the whole time, either. Just helping set up, leaving for writing class, coming back for a couple hours until tear-down, so that we can go home and clean ourselves up for the annual Lawyer show, which I donated a painting to. It's hosted by a company called Nightwood Theatre, centered around women in the arts. All proceeds from this event go to supporting female artists. I support this, for obvious reasons.
