In act, literature and movie, the Women are a familiar subject that is reflected in many different angles. Today, society is more concerned about women in terms of their daily lives and psychological complexities. Thus, the image of the woman appears more complex and multi-dimensional, but when we see in the overview, we find the common denominator of them. Works of art may vary in genre, but when it talks about women, we always see the connection of them.
Thelma and Louise produced in 1991 by Ridley Scott is an Oscar-winning film for the best original script. This is one of the rare cinematic works to struggle out for women in a touching and excellent way at that time. The film talks about the escape of two best friends Thelma and Louise when they accidentally killed people on the road to travel. From here, the personality of the two characters with many contrasts are clearly portrayed and their lives, their fate is clearer on each footage.

Runaway is a short story written by the 2013 Nobel Prize winner Alice Munro writer. This is the first work and title in Alice Munro's short story collection introduced in 2004. The story talk about Calar's overcast life - a trainer at her husband's camp next to her husband - Clark, the persistent agonies that has caused the girl to run away from her husband.
At first glance, these two works have distances in terms of space, time, plot, form of expression, but when we put them together in parallel, to understand the two works from a textual perspective. We not Only saw the motif of the escape of women who do not find family happiness and also understand more about their deadlockes and agonies.
