~ Ant ~

This is the 4th 8" X 8" art panel in this Insect Series that I painted for the Burien's Vision 20/20 Art Event this past November.  And, unlike yesterday's spider, this one really is an insect!  Each of these 10 panels got some iridescent paint added to select areas.  It's difficult to actually see the iridescence in most of the photos.  But, in this one, I think that you can actually see the gold that I added to some of the grass.  Can you tell that it's gold?

Each insect was hand-drawn with a fine-tip sharpie first, then acrylic paint & iridescent acrylic inks were added on top.
