Commissioned wedding anniversary portrait
"Hope this is not a picture printed in black and white?!" were the words of the recipient of this latest piece of mine. A wave of recent commissions has kept me on and off steemit for a while. Maybe I'll start posting my work as in progress. Here's my latest piece commissioned for a couple by their kids. I had a nice time doing and delivering it myself.
Here are the progress shots, I'm posting a lot of images so they do the talking mostly.
I enjoy drawing through the night a lot! This shot was taken at about 2:30 am.
Here I started adding the background using a brush, tissues and graphite powder.
At the framers, getting that pure black frame I really love!
Delivery Time
If you care for it, here's a video clip of the delivery, fun time indeed.
We mostly talked in my native language (Yoruba) but the highlights of our conversation were when he said "I really love the fact that it's a pencil work"and surprisingly later "Hope this is not a picture printed in black and white? " 😂😂
What a happy couple!

Really, truly beautiful. To see your whole process through delivery makes me jealous. I am starting to document my process with newer pieces so that I can put up quality posts like this. Great job.
Thank you so much, I'd like to read those posts soon!
Wow! Fantastic work!
