Abstract art on a native top!

I'm beginning to love abstract art more and more because it gives you room to be creative, there are barely any rules so you can be yourself without many consequences.

Today I painted this abstract piece from memory on a piece of fabric as requested by a client. I played with an abstract head figure and some musical instruments while giving it an African tone.

I do all my fabric painting with acrylics. Most times I have to do at least two layers because the cloth materials are usually not very paint friendly so they suck in most of the paint at first. I like to think of the first layer as priming.

I must also mention that I enjoy painting outdoors where I can feel the cool breeze and watch the plants dance. It's very refreshing!
