Hello artists of the world, sculptors specifically I feel great pride to share this work with you since it is my first time dabbling with metal sculpture, the realization of this work was from the Three-dimensional Expression workshop of the School of Art of the ULA , taking advantage of the resources found in the workshop, such as metals of different values, sizes, rigidity and consistency, I consider from the beginning the study of the handling that can be given to these metals in terms of bends, observing their behaviors and shapes that generates by demanding more from the material.

EVERYTHING BEGAN FROM

a certain quantity of disposable material, which is very useful to generate certain sculptural discourses, the ideal and main thing is to become familiar with the material, know it, feel it, feel it and in this way proceed to the conception of the primary ideas

After the selection of these metals I proceed to experiment, taking into account the tools I need such as a press to fix the metals and be able to bend them, it is important to consider using gloves and lenses for your physical protection

The experimentation is essential for the creation, at this moment I proceed to weld taking into account the safety ahead, mask, gloves and with caution I begin to weld to see what behavior the different metals have

I think that from this moment everything begins, I remember with great emotion the sculptures of Alberto Cavalieri Venezuelan artist which makes the metal super moldable and very light sight, that is how my experience with metal begins. subtle forms, forms that although they are of a small size I feel that balance is achieved and that language of simplicity and harmony, taking into account the rawness of the metal since they are only sanded in some areas, thus creating an original coloration and in this way highlighting how useful and subtle a raw sculpture can be.

Direct to the point, or better said hands to work with the metal, thanks to the manual folds I was able to achieve this that began to be very material so that the sculpture is a single without joints or welds so I started.

I keep the main idea in this work of the doubles but as you can realize in another type of metal a little more rigid

in these pieces I get some way to make them one, by welding, getting a sufficiently expanded forms taking advantage of the strength of the material to generate a speech wave of ease and handling, taking into account the balance when expanding its format and doing a large enough job in an ideal space for the appreciation of the material and the lights and shadows.

All these experiments were to give way to my personal topic, and to reach in one way or another the conclusion and decision of what I wanted to do and what I wanted to translate with the metal, the construction was devised from the assembly, the folds and the welding points, thanks to these metals I achieved what I was looking for to generate a metallic face, and it is quite interesting from the point of view of my personal work since the metal is a material, a mineral generated by the earth and there will always be faces in front or behind this exploitation, a mineral super necessary for human beings, you can see the face taking advantage of negative and positive spaces creates the three-dimensional, the final result seemed very good since the piece looks light but in reality is very Well forged, we find harmony, balance, rigidity and strength.

remember what is raised from the sketches, the vibration, the movement, the expansive, how manageable these faces can be. .
