I can't stop dotting when I have Steemit on my mind!
Steem on my mind!
Sometimes, it's just fun to play with a logo and give it your own touch!
After dotting with paint on stones for at least two weeks, I wanted to do something totally different! ((Thinks and laughs)) So, I started to dot on canvas! I might have a slight dotting problem! Could dotting be dangerous?
This happens when you dot with Steemit on your mind!
I made this on a 20cm by 20cm canvas after painting it black! ((Hears the paint it black song in her mind.))
I used normal acrylic paint in 4 colors. Black, for the canvas and white, dark blue and light blue for the dotting of the Steemit logo. I used two sizes of dotting pens and the most amazing tool ever, the eraser at the end of a pencil!
I decided to keep this one as simple as I could! Mostly because I love how the the blue and white jumps out against the black. If I would have covered it all up, I think it would not have looked as cool as it does now!
I started by drawing the Steemit logo onto the canvas with a normal pencil. It took me a while before I was happy with the shape. It's still not perfect but not everything needs to be perfect right?
The next step was mixing the blue colors! I just used a dark blue and mixed that up into two different blues using white paint! I started with the middle part of the logo so I could work towards the sides without messing up the dots!
I used a lighter blue for the two other items. ( I totally am at a loss for the word, so item it is!) And slowly I started to fill in the items! :D
Because I was not done doing dots I create a frame around the logo! One can never have enough dots if you ask me! Dots make you calm and bring you happiness! Or maybe that is just me! I need more canvas as well, and stones!
And there it is, my Steemit dotting project!
