They are beings that seem to come from tales of mystery.
They transfer our imagination to medieval narratives.

And we look at supernatural beings and even in fairy tales.
Gargoyles are the mythological beings that appear in some churches, especially those of Gothic style.

They were used as drainage system for the cathedrals, which released the water through the holes in the mouth of the sculpture and thus expel it at a distance from the building so that the stone is not damaged.

There are two theories of its meaning:
They represent a demon fleeing the church.
Species that scare away evil spirits.

Historias de Arte
Son seres que parecen salidos de cuentos de misterio.
Que trasladan nuestra imaginación a las narraciones medievales.
Y nuestra mirada en los seres sobrenaturales y hasta en los cuentos de hadas.
Las gárgolas son los seres mitológicos que aparecen en algunas iglesias, especialmente las de estilo gótico.

Eran utilizadas como sistema de desagüe de las catedrales, que arrojaban el agua por los orificios de la boca de la escultura y así expulsarla a cierta distancia del edificio para que no se dañe la piedra.

Hay dos teorías de su significado:

-Representan a un demonio huyendo de la iglesia.
-Son especies que ahuyentan a los espíritus malignos.
