People Who Are Like Rocks
The nature around us, can also live inside us. Rocks wait like wise teachers showing us patience. Like trees they are excellent listeners. When you sit on a rock you trust its foundation, and if you are ever struck by a rock, it is heavy and unforgiving.
They come in all sizes and colors. Many claim to feel energy from stones, various properties from the esoteric to the conductive, mined, extracted and twisted to perform tasks. The rocks have uses. Of all the elements they have the longest memories.
When you are still and solid, you can become one with the rock. Or maybe you are fire or air, and rock is something that you lack. People who are like rocks will be there for you. Rock people are there for everyone. Sometimes they are too hard to work with, unwilling to change. With a hard shell, or a tall wall, a rock can stand in the way of what you want or what you need. When rock becomes lava you need to stand clear. Rock is too hot when it is fluid. It chooses it's path and little can stand it its way.
Rocks can be beautiful. They are weathered with time into various shapes. They do accumulate and reform. They can see the light, or they can hide underground. People who are like rocks can withstand various conditions and circumstance. Some people are very strong rocks, and others can build foundations within using the lessons of rock.
It is good to summon the qualities of the rock, when other elements cause confusion. Rock is not confused.
I was just thinking about rocks in a similar way today while walking up a mountain path in the Arizona desert. A single stone may have been in that solid shape for millennia... do they feel time? Do they long to flow again in the way they did before they solidified into their current hardened selves? If nothing else, rocks seem patient... unimaginably so.
